Privacy Policy
The short version: Timeframes doesn’t collect any data about you. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no ads. Everything the app knows stays on your iPhone.
This policy covers the Timeframes iPhone app (“Timeframes”, “the app”), made by Ifeanyi Ezurike (“I”, “me”), and this website.
What the app collects
Nothing. I don’t collect, store, sell, or share any personal information or usage data. The app has no sign-up and no account, and it doesn’t send anything to me or to anyone else.
Screen Time data
Timeframes uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings) so it can count down your time on the apps you choose. Here’s how that data is handled:
- When you pick apps to track, Apple’s picker gives Timeframes a private token for each one, not the app’s name. The tokens stay on your device.
- Apple’s frameworks watch your usage on the device and let the app know when you pass a time mark (for example, 20 minutes used). Timeframes stores those marks on your iPhone so it doesn’t repeat a nudge.
- Your usage numbers, like today’s total and your most-used apps, are drawn by an Apple-protected report view. The app itself can’t read them, and they never leave that view.
- Blocking and the full-screen checkpoints are applied on the device through Apple’s Managed Settings.
Your settings (which apps, budgets, time windows, and nudge options) are saved on your iPhone only. They may be part of your device backup if you use iCloud or computer backups, which Apple handles under its own privacy policy.
Notifications
All countdown nudges are local notifications created on your iPhone. No push notification service is used, and nothing is sent over the internet to show them.
Purchases
Timeframes Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment. I never receive your name, email, card number, or any other payment details. The app only checks with Apple, on your device, whether your subscription is active.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party SDKs: no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking tools. It doesn’t track you across other apps or websites.
If you choose to share crash reports or analytics with developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may pass me anonymous crash data. That’s controlled by you in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
This website
This site has no cookies, trackers, or analytics scripts. Like any website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.
Children
Timeframes isn’t directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. Since the app collects no data at all, there’s nothing to collect from a child either.
Deleting your data
Because everything lives on your iPhone, deleting the app removes its settings and saved marks. Your Screen Time history itself belongs to iOS and stays in Settings › Screen Time.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I’ll update this page and the effective date above. If the app ever starts collecting data, this policy and the App Store privacy label will say so before that happens.
