Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the Timeframes iPhone app, made by Ifeanyi Ezurike (“I”, “me”). By downloading or using Timeframes, you agree to them.
Apple’s Standard EULA
Timeframes is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms add to it. If the two ever conflict, the Standard EULA wins.
What Timeframes is, and isn’t
Timeframes is a self-control aid. It uses Apple’s Screen Time tools to count down, nudge, and (with Pro) block the apps you choose, on your own iPhone.
- It’s not a guarantee. Timeframes depends on Apple’s Screen Time, which reports usage on its own schedule. Nudges and blocks can arrive a minute or two late, and iOS updates, settings changes, or deleting the app can stop them. It also only counts this iPhone.
- It’s not a medical device and doesn’t diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. If you’re struggling with compulsive phone use, anxiety, or anything else affecting your health, please talk to a qualified professional.
- It’s not a parental-control app. It’s meant for setting limits on your own device.
When you set time windows, blocking is meant to be hard to undo. Loosening a limit waits until the next day, and there’s no switch in the app that turns blocking off. That’s on purpose. Set limits you can live with.
Timeframes Pro subscription
Timeframes is free to download. The free plan counts down one app. Timeframes Pro adds every app, time windows, blocking, and full-screen checkpoints for $29.99 per year or $4.99 per month, and new subscribers get the first 3 days free on either plan. These are US prices; prices vary by country and are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically each year or month (whichever you chose) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- If you start a free trial, you won’t be charged until it ends. Cancel at least 24 hours before it ends and you won’t be charged at all. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID Account Settings (Settings › your name › Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. I can’t issue refunds directly.
- If Pro ends, you’re on the free plan: countdown nudges for your first app. Other apps, time windows, blocking, and checkpoints pause.
Using the app fairly
Please don’t reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the app, or use it to monitor or control someone else’s device without their knowledge.
No warranty
Timeframes is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. I don’t promise it will be error-free, always available, or that it will change your habits.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using or not being able to use Timeframes. That includes missed nudges, an app being blocked when you needed it, or one not being blocked when you wanted it to be. My total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Timeframes Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Changes
I may update these terms as the app changes. I’ll post the new version here and change the date above. If you keep using Timeframes after that, you’re agreeing to the updated terms.
